Foot filing/polishing

It is recommended to use abrasive files that are finer than pumice stone for filing/polishing skin
calluses. The holes of pumice are unevenly sized and distributed, which can scratch the foot. This
can cause the development of cracks. Avoid overindulgence in the removing of skin calluses, as
this increases the possibility of injuring the deeper layers of skin, which can make the skin of the
feet more vulnerable and susceptible to infections. Too active and frequent filing of the skin of
the feet can lead to the increased development of calluses.

Foot bathing

Take a foot bath for about 10 minutes. The water should not be too hot, since hot water tends to
make your skin drier. It is recommended to avoid the use of soap and shower gels, since they also
make the skin dry.

Nail trimming, filing

Nail tips should be left at least one millimetre long to prevent nail ingrowth. Filing is better done
on dry nails.

Use of cream

To keep the feet soft and smooth for longer, it is important to apply cream to the feet every day.
If the skin on your feet and/or heels is rough and cracked, apply Footy Cracked heels cream.
If skin calluses develop, it is recommended to use Footy Foot care cream In the event of severe
skin calluses or cracked skin, apply rich amounts of cream on your feet, put on socks and let the
cream work all night long.
